Canadian Imaging

Just got back from speaking at Canadian Imaging in Calgary Canada on two programs I love to present the people. The first was my program on Light Painting, and this program we actually set up three tabletop shoots where I bring in flashlights and have the attendees actually light paint their own images. I always find it interesting when I let the class loose and tell them that they can move the props around and to try to light the set ups any way they like.

The next program was the longer of the two and is also one of my favorites to speak about, Architectural Photography. Architectural photography is where I make most of my living from, but is also something that I love to photograph. In this program I take the students first through marketing and the gear and then we actually go through different lighting scenarios and how I would work in Lightroom and Photoshop.

I don’t think I do any programs now that I don’t end up doing some sort of work in Lightroom and Photoshop to show people how I actually do my post processing and finish my images.
