I was scanning some old photographs and came across one of me when I was 19 years old. I was taking classes at Grand Rapids Junior College and photographing with a calumet 4 x 5 camera. I think this is when I really decided I wanted to be a photographer working with the 4 x 5 camera developing those large negatives in the darkroom and then printing them was always an exciting experience for me. I still have all my negatives from college and have been meaning to go back and scan them, but just finding this photograph brings a smile to my face and remembering the long hair I had back then.
